Cookie Policy
Last updated: 24 April 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Jarolis Ltd ("Jarolis", "we") uses cookies and similar technologies on jarolis.com (the "Services"). It forms part of our Privacy Policy.
The English version of this Cookie Policy is the authoritative legal text. Translations are provided as a courtesy. In case of discrepancy, the English version prevails.
1. What are cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, tablet, phone) by a website you visit. They are widely used to make websites work, to improve functionality, to remember preferences, and to help site owners understand how their sites are used.
"Similar technologies" include local storage, session storage, pixels, tracking beacons, and device fingerprinting. This policy covers all of them even where we use the term "cookies" for brevity.
2. How we use cookies
We classify the cookies we use into four categories, following the EU ePrivacy Directive and the UK PECR framework:
- Strictly necessary — required to run the site. Always active, no consent required.
- Preferences — remember settings such as language. Set only where required.
- Analytics — help us understand site use. We use a cookie-free analytics tool (Umami) without consent and Google Analytics 4 only with consent.
- Marketing — used to measure advertising effectiveness and for remarketing. Set only with your consent.
3. Cookies and similar technologies we use
3.1 Strictly necessary
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| CookieConsent | Cookiebot | Stores your cookie consent preferences. | 12 months |
| __cf_bm, cf_clearance | Cloudflare | Bot protection and security. | Up to 30 days |
Note on the AI chat assistant: The chat widget does not set cookies or use browser storage on your device. It generates a temporary session identifier in page memory that is regenerated on every page load. The content of your chat messages and the session identifier are transmitted to and stored on our servers — see our Privacy Policy (Sections 2 and 7) for what we collect and how long we retain chat logs.
3.2 Preferences
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Language preference (URL path) | Jarolis (first-party) | Selects the correct language version of the site. | Not stored as a cookie; derived from URL path (/, /tr/) |
3.3 Analytics — active by default (cookie-free)
We use Umami Analytics, a privacy-friendly analytics tool that does not use cookies or track individuals. Umami aggregates anonymous usage data (pages visited, referrers, country, device type) and is permitted under GDPR as a legitimate interest without requiring consent, as it does not store identifiers on your device.
3.4 Analytics — set only with your consent
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga, _ga_<ID>, _gid | Google Analytics 4 | Measures traffic patterns and conversion events to help us improve the site. | Up to 24 months |
3.5 Marketing — set only with your consent
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _fbp, fr, tr | Meta (Facebook/Instagram) | Meta Pixel for ad attribution and remarketing on Facebook and Instagram. | Up to 3 months |
| _ttp, tiktok_* | TikTok | TikTok Pixel for ad attribution and audience building. | Up to 13 months |
These marketing cookies are only loaded after you click "Accept" or actively select marketing cookies in our consent banner. If you decline, they are not set.
4. Google Consent Mode v2
We implement Google Consent Mode v2. If you decline marketing or analytics cookies, Google services will run in consent-denied mode: no identifiers are stored, and only aggregate, cookieless signals (if any) are sent for modelling purposes. You can always change your choice via the cookie settings link.
5. How to manage your cookie preferences
When you first visit jarolis.com, a consent banner powered by Cookiebot lets you accept, decline, or customise your cookie choices by category.
You can change your preferences at any time:
- Click the cookie settings link in our website footer.
- Click the small Cookiebot icon (usually bottom-left) to reopen the banner.
- Clear cookies in your browser to reset all choices.
5.1 Browser controls
You can also manage cookies directly in your browser. Most browsers let you block all cookies, block third-party cookies, or delete cookies when you close the browser. Instructions for common browsers:
Note: blocking strictly necessary cookies may break parts of the site.
6. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
We honour Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where legally required. If your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as an opt-out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising under the CPRA and equivalent rights elsewhere.
7. Third-party cookie controls
For more control over advertising cookies across the web, you can use industry opt-out tools such as:
8. Updates to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy if we add or remove tools that set cookies, or if the legal framework changes. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
